PCPhoneCam

More than one phone. One camera crew.

Turn Android phones into cameras and use another phone—or a Mac—as Director. Preview and control cameras across your local Wi-Fi while each phone records its own footage.

A SMALL MULTI-CAMERA SETUP

Each phone does its part.

Put the devices on the same local network, assign camera names, then direct one or more views from a Director screen.

01

Camera

Record H.264 or H.265 video with AAC audio to the phone. Resolution depends on the camera hardware; supported sizes include 4K, 1080p and 720p.

02

Director

See up to four remote previews, open a selected camera, and send targeted or all-camera record and stop commands.

03

Both

Use one phone as a camera and a compact Director at the same time, with local recording kept independent of its network connection.

This is an early product. The Android build passed its automated tests and has been installed on an A12; cross-device recording, rotation and long-session behavior still need broader hands-on testing. The macOS controller preview has passed packaging checks but has not yet had visual verification.

The APK is signed with the Android debug certificate, so it is for preview testing and may not install over a differently signed PhoneCam build. The AAB is a Play upload package, not a sideload installer. No public iOS package is available yet; iOS protocol and compatibility checks are underway.
